East Passyunk car show, street fair returns Sunday for the 9th year
The 9th Annual Car Show and Street Festival comes to East Passyunk on Sunday, bringing more than 140 classic and muscle cars as well as street vendors, circus performers, live music, outdoor bars and an expanded roster of food trucks.
The East Passyunk Avenue Business Improvement District says that the free event will string along four blocks of Passyunk, from Broad to Dickinson, from noon to 5 p.m. Twelve Passyunk businesses will be selling food and drink out front of their places, and 10 food trucks will set up to feed the thousands that are expected to attend.
The Bang! Boom! CRAFT! Show will set up around the fountain with more than 20 crafters selling handmade wares, funky T-shirts, artwork and much more. And for entertainment — if the food and booze isn’t enough — eight bands are scheduled to play at three different stages.
It’s not all about getting liquored up, though. Activities to dazzle the kiddies include circus demonstrations, a moon bounce and stilt walkers.
