New coffee shop (with bulk delivery?) coming to Bella Vista

UPDATE: Eater Philly tried getting more info about this place and found some really strange things – like a New York phone number that kept ringing and that the address for their headquarters being the nonexistent 1500 North Market St in the fictional 11111 ZIP code. Hmm.

Some interesting fliers appeared in the window recently at 814 S. 9th St., the former home of the Liberty Bellows accordion store (they moved to 614 S. 2nd St. about a year ago).

The fliers say a shop called Jasani Cafe will be opening in the storefront, which is just north of the Italian Market and a couple doors down from the Fashion Alert store we wrote about last year.

And if the flier is to be believed, it will be the “world’s best coffee.”

The company is Philly-based, and appears to have been around for at least 10 years, if the dates on the website are to be believed. They specialize in single origin coffee from several countries and offer direct home shipping. Check out the website for more info on delivery.

Another section of the website references franchising opportunities, so we’re not sure if this is a franchise or whether this is the company’s first retail operation, or what. We sent them an email and will update once we find out.

In the meantime, you’ll just have to wait until September to see how this coffee compares.
