SoPhilly Spotlight: ‘The Jewel of East Passyunk’ edition

Anyone who has wandered around Passyunk Avenue knows this week’s SoPhilly Spotlight, a house at 1026 Cross St. …

… and now you get to see inside (though the pictures really don’t do it justice). Coming in at an eye-popping $1.25 million, this 5,000+ home certainly has a lot going for it.

Four bedrooms, six bathrooms, a game room with stained-glass accented wet bar, a custom wine cellar with barrels where you can make and store your own vintage, two-car parking garage, elevator, roof deck with views of the Ben Franklin and Walt Whitman bridges, fitness center with sauna, hot tub and exercise equipment and so much more, says the listing by Re-Max.

You’re right,. That rec room with bar is atrocious. But that’s not the only odd thing. It looks like there is a plastic tablecloth on the dining room table. And in one of the bathrooms there is a shower curtain and half a frameless shower door. Whoever took the listing photos should go back to art school. This is what happens when people have more money than taste. Of course if one can afford 1.5 mil one can easily afford to change the decor.

@Provwitout: I think this house has your name all over it! Time to move up.

Maybe cut the asking price in half…

Living here, you’ll never have to go outside and be apart of the city life again. It’s like an oasis in the middle of paradise.

I know the people that own this house. They are very involved in the community and our block. I see them on the ave and our street more than any of our other neighbors.
