First Pics: Believe children’s boutique opens at 1226 W. Ritner St.
A new children’s boutique called Believe has opened at 1226 W. Ritner St., carrying whimsical apparel and accessories for parents to outfit their kids from newborn to age 10.
The boutique carries a variety of items, including some basics like onesies and leggings, but with whimsical prints (think muscle men, zebras and mustaches), to the more frilly tu-tu-inspired, tulle skirts and dresses for the wannabe princesses.
Accessories like shoes, bows and some toys for children are also carried at the boutique. Items in the store range from $8 to $200, with options for boys and girls alike.
Store owner Noelle D’Alonzo was surrounded by chic, designer apparel where she previously worked, at Chestnut Street’s Knit Wit. With her experience in retail and sense of style, she decided to open up a children’s boutique after the birth of her 2nd daughter five months ago.
D’Alonzo aims to bring more options for fashion-forward city parents to outfit their babies.
As you enter the store, you will likely be greeted by the music of Disney films and a TV in the corner, playing some of her own children’s favorite shows and movies. Her 3-year-old daughter cites “Frozen” as one of her favorites, and D’Alonzo cannot help but agree, saying, “I’m basically a kid myself.”
The store’s first day was Sept. 5, but there are still more additions to be made before the official grand opening in October. D’Alonzo is still waiting to receive some more shipments of fall and winter clothing and is also waiting for the store’s sign and awnings, which should be up within the next week.
The store is open each week from Tuesday until Saturday, and tentative hours for now are Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 or 7 p.m., Saturdays 10-5. Find the Believe website here and Facebook page here.
