SoPhilly Spotlight: 8-bedroom Brownstone edition

If you’re looking for something that will fit all of your mansion needs, then this week’s SoPhilly Spotlight is right up your alley.

Eight bedrooms, three full baths and more than 4,000 square feet, this brownstone behemoth at 1840 S. Broad St. exudes Old World and offers what is probably the best price per square foot you’ll find in this area.

Guess how much.

The listing, by Keller Williams, is a bit light on details:

Brownstone on Broad Street, Passyunk Square. Mini Mansion with 8 bedrooms, 3 full baths, laundry room, den and tons of storage. Finished basement. Original details throughout. Stained leaded glass, tiled fireplace, tiled foyer, original woodwork. In superior condition. This is a must see property. Owners just had new roof installed.

That’s all it says. But let’s let the pictures tell the story.

It’s going for $500,000. What do you think?

Good lord who decorated that place? Also, who needs 8 bedrooms? Would make more sense to split it in 2.

What happened to the kitchen? For $500,000. one would expect a larger space. On the plus side, at least they didn’t “improve” it too much. Love the stair case and the doorway between the living room and dining room.
