Vetri’s Lo Spiedo at The Navy Yard sets opening date
Forget the tricks, Marc Vetri and crew have a pre-Halloween treat for you.
Lo Spiedo, his latest restaurant focusing on rotisserie and grilled meats, is set to open at the entrance of the Navy Yard on Oct. 27.
Officially located at Building 500 at 4501 S. Broad St., it’s actually the building on the left of the entrance to the Navy Yard. Eater Philly mentions that “the casual bar and restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner.”
An “ambitious” bar menu is planned and we’d imagine that the droves of people now working at the Navy Yard will be excited to have a nearby go-to spot — especially for happy hour.
Want a taste of what’s to come? City Paper has more:
[Lo Spiedo] will feature wood-fired fare from executive chef Scott Calhoun with an emphasis on rotisserie meats. You’ll find whole spit roasted lamb, chicken and goat along with vegetables getting the same fiery treatment.
By the looks of it, Oct. 27 can’t come soon enough:
