Opening menu for SouthHouse in LoMo includes brunch, gluten-free options
SouthHouse, a neighborhood restaurant/gastro pub coming to LoMo in December, recently released its opening menu.
The new 60-seat spot will include 12-taps behind the bar, cans, bottles and a wine list. Oh, you want to know about the food menu, do you? Follow right this way.
Zagat Philly reports that owner Thom Sueta will be opening SouthHouse in the first week of December. Hours will be 11 a.m. to 2 a.m., seven days a week. They also point out that “more than half the list is or can be made vegetarian or gluten-free.” It will be a limited menu to start and “will be tweaked, perfected and expanded” over time. You can find it here. Entrees will be added to the list in January. Hooray, food!
Those looking for brunch options in LoMo will be pleased, as SouthHouse also released a menu for the mid-morning/afternoon meal that includes such items as Pretzel French Toast, Engine 49 Benedict and even the SouthHouse Burger. Here’s the full slate of brunch options from Zagat:

We brought you the news a few weeks back that SouthHouse would be opening in the former Quattro’s space at 2535 S, 13th St., basically 13th and Shunk St. Sueta told us that the interior will be a “rustic-industrial motif” featuring exposed duct work, wood grains and metals. The 12-tap draught system was recently installed and it looks as though you’ll be able to charge your mobile device while you post up at the bar.
