Mysterious Jasani Cafe appears to be opening soon
Back in July we told you about a new coffee shop at 814 S. 9th St. that was planning to open in mid-September. While they didn’t open in September, Jasani Cafe seems to be preparing to open in the near future.
This coffee shop is still a bit of a mystery to us, but with a new permit and signage on the storefront, Jasani might be preparing to open pretty soon.
When fliers first appeared on this storefront over the summer, the shop was stated to have “The World’s Best Coffee.” From the information found on Jasani’s website, their coffee seems to be single-origin from various countries. They also are stated to offer home delivery.
With a New York phone number that rings endlessly and no response to emails sent to Jasani, it’s unclear what exactly to expect from this space. But I suppose that adds to the mysterious appeal of it. After we posted about Jasani initially, Eater also did an investigation on this place and came up with very few answers either. So I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
