First Pics: Hooray Children’s Resale Shoppe now open at 12th and McKean

Hooray Children’s Resale Shoppe opened this past weekend at 1146 McKean St.

Since the store caters to parents and their children, stocking clothing for children from newborn to size 16/18 in juniors, the store has a child-like feel to it with an abundance of color throughout.

The shop is a resale shop, so in addition to being able to purchase clothing for your child, you can also get rid of some of the clothing and items they’ve outgrown for consignment.

Brands carried in the shop include Gap, Gymobree, Ralph Lauren and more. From everyday clothing for your child, to more dressy clothing for special occasions, Hooray Children’s Resale Shoppe carries it all.

Prices for clothing and accessories range from $2 to $25, all priced reasonably for resale.

In addition to clothing and accessories, the shop also carries toys, baby carriers and various other items for children.

The shop’s owner, Latoya Taylor, decided to open the shop after years of accumulating clothing from her three children. Over the years she had sold some children’s clothing at flea markets and decided that opening up a store was the next step.

Taylor says she is still planning to add some finishing touches to the shop, including some more artwork on the walls, accent pillows and more.

If you bring your children with you while you shop, there’s also a sitting area at the front of the store with a selection of children’s books for them to read.

Hooray Children’s Resale Shoppe is open Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. through 6 p.m.
