Bearded Ladies Cabaret performances at PHS pop-up gardens

Now that it’s officially summer, the PHS pop-up gardens are full of activity. With two South Philly gardens, located at 9th and Wharton and on South Street, there’s plenty of fun to be had.

To add to the enjoyment of grabbing some drinks with friends here, you can catch performances from the Bearded Ladies Cabaret at the gardens on select dates throughout July.

The Bearded Ladies Cabaret, a local performance art troupe, will be debuting a new show titled, “Bitter Homes and Gardens: A Botanical Hoedown” on July 1 at the 9th and Wharton garden. According to a description of the performance, you can expect to hear some bluegrass, cowboy songs and country music.

The performances at the 9th and Wharton garden will run from the July 1 through to July 10, with daily performances at 6 p.m. There will also be a 2 p.m. performances on Sunday, July 5.

If you’d like to check out the show at the South Street garden at 1438 South St., the performances begin there on July 14 and continue until July 19. Performances are held daily at 6 p.m., with another 2 p.m. performance occurring on Saturday, July 18.

These performances are pay-what-you-can, with a suggested donation of $15 or $20. You can buy tickets here.
