Get totally pumped for Escape the 80’s, opening next week at 1804 E. Passyunk Ave.
Are you ready for some 1980’s fun?
Escape the 80’s, the new escape the room attraction that we told you about a few months ago, is finally ready to launch. As of Friday, August 21, the attraction will be open to the public at 1804 E. Passyunk Ave.
In case you haven’t heard, this new attraction coming to this long-vacant East Passyunk Avenue storefront will include a lot of 1980’s nostalgia. Over the span of this 60 minute game, you’ll be taken deep into the 80’s with rooms that look like a mall, travel agency, video room and more.
Throughout these rooms, you’ll be challenged to find the necessary clues to escape the room within an hour. Scattered among the VHS tapes and Cabbage Patch Kids will be a few prizes in the form of vouchers for free beers at local restaurants and bars and other small surprises.
Tickets for the game will cost $32, but will be discounted for games after 10 p.m. You’ll also have a chance to grab last-minute tickets for just $10 per person if you come 15 minutes before an open time slot. Escape the 80’s will be open seven days a week from noon to midnight.
Tickets will go on sale early next week for those signed up for their newsletter. For the rest of you, you’ll be able to grab tickets online starting on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the Escape the 80’s website for more details.
Good luck! Should be interesting to see what happens.
I’m trying to pull a few friends together to check this out. Looks like fun, and I appreciate having another option in the neighborhood that isn’t a restaurant/bar. Best of luck to the owner(s)!
I’ve been waiting all summer for this!
Umm, this looks totally awesome. We just got our tickets from the website and can’t wait to go.
YES! So cool!
