Pennsport parks hosting family-friendly events on Saturday
UPDATE: The Jefferson Square Park event has been postponed to Saturday, October 11.
Live music, local food options, kids crafts, a potluck dinner and more are happening on Saturday in Pennsport.
Starting at 1 p.m., you can stop by Manton Street Park and Community Garden for some fun, followed by a potluck dinner and movie night in Jefferson Square Park later in the evening. What better way is there to spend a fall day?
There will be free food and drinks at Manton Street Park’s events, along with Pennsport businesses MoJo’s Pop Co. and D’Emilio’s Old World Ice Treats setting up shop there for the day.
The event includes activities for the whole family with things like bean bag tosses, crafts, balloon artists, live music and more. The Heinz Wildlife Refuge will also be at this family day.
After the fun is over at Manton Street Park, you can prepare yourself for a potluck dinner at Jefferson Square Park at 4th and Washington. Bring your favorite food dish and share it with your family, friends and neighbors while watching Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
Family Day at Manton Street Park runs from 1 p.m. through 4 p.m. at 4th and Manton Streets. The potluck dinner and movie night in Jefferson Square Park starts at 6 p.m.
Since the weather is not expected to be the greatest this weekend, you can keep up-to-date about the events on Facebook. If they will be canceled, it should be announced by 11 a.m. on Saturday.
