Do you love your neighborhood park?
If you do (honestly, who doesn’t appreciate a little green space in the city?), now is your chance to help clean up your local park with the LOVE Your Park Fall Service Day from Parks and Recreation on Saturday, November 14.

If you volunteer, you could be working on litter clean-up, the collection of leaves, tree planting, mulching, painting and other things. You can find out more about registering to volunteer here.
I just want to acknowledge Mifflin Square Park at 600 W. Ritner. Years ago the neighborhood was filled with crime and litter, but the group actually brought people together and now so many of those dedicated to cleaning the park are children! The children have some hope of a brighter future thanks to the Friends of Mifflin Park. Please help the kids and keep the neighborhood safe!
