Noord and Fond teaming up for new breakfast spot in former Fourth and Cross location
The Pennsport community was disappointed when Fourth and Cross announced its closure at the end of 2015 after less than a year in the former Bell’s Delly location.
Now that Fourth and Cross is gone, an exciting prospect is coming soon to the location, from two of East Passyunk Avenue’s highly-regarded chefs. Lee Styer of Fond and Joncarl Lachman of Noord and Restaurant Neuf are teaming up for a new breakfast concept called The Dutch.
More from The Insider:
They’re working out the menu, which will include ring bologna in homage of Styer’s Pennsylvania Dutch roots.
The idea was cooked up in Fond’s kitchen. “Lee makes a great omelet,” Lachman said, lamenting the fact that Fond does not serve brunch (nor, for that matter, does Neuf)
I hope they open up soon! Does Pennsport have a business association of some sort? They need to because there are a lot of really great places there that aren’t advertised or well known; I’ve only recently learned about a lot of them!
Doubt Pennsport has a business assn. however, this is wonderful news! Will be happily anticipated by the area I am sure.
