Vietnamese restaurant called Pho-ladelphia opening soon at 11th and Jackson
A Vietnamese food vendor began serving traditional cuisine at a flea market in New Jersey. Those vendors now have plans to expand to a storefront in South Philadelphia under a different name.
This restaurant called Pho-ladelphia will be opening soon at 11th and Jackson in the former location of Mazza, which is located across the street from that “mob social club.”
This new restaurant will serve Vietnamese noodle soup and grill. Menu items range from traditional dishes to more inventive things like a Banh Mi burger. You can check out the menu here.
Pho-ladelphia is hoping to have a soft opening this coming weekend, according to a post on their Instagram account. The restaurant will be offering eat-in, take-out and delivery through GrubHub. You can keep up-to-date on the restaurant’s opening via Facebook.
YES! I’m so excited! My roommates can never find enough Pho places in South Philly. Best hangover food.
Pumped about this new Vietnamese place!
Disappointed in Passyunk Post’s journalism here: “…which is located across the street from that “mob social club.”” Really – this is the description that you are going to go with?!? You guys can’t think of any better/more positive way to describe this intersection? I guess “11th and Jackson” just doesn’t make for a good link-back for you.
Passyunk Post has been a positive driver in the revitalization of the East Passyunk area. Making uninformed, speculative claims about a “mob social club,” then linking back to it like it’s some how fact is amateur hour.
This is typical of the privileged white millenial transplant mentality: they will call you Hitler if you use the wrong gender pronoun, but they will assert that all Italians are “mafia”. Maybe it gives them more cred to their friends back in Ohio, to make it appear that they now live in a “mob hood”.
I believe the quotes would be the Passyunk Post alluding to it being speculative.

It’s also across the street from a church, but that’s not as exciting I suppose.
they were being facetious and linking back to a previously written article .plus that place is totally weird!!! its funny to point out that it exists
Offer vegan options!
Mazza is closed for good?!? That’s such a bummer. I loved their salads and babaganoush!
Try Green Olives on Passyunk. I think they are better than Mazza was.
