Attend EPX’s annual Italian Red Gravy Cook-Off in April

Do you have a secret red gravy recipe that you want to show off? Now’s your chance at East Passyunk Crossing’s annual Italian Red Gravy Cook-Off.

 On Sunday, April 10 you can enter your gravy in the competition, or just attend for the red gravy tastings and some complementary wine.

If you have a recipe you’d like to submit, you’re able to enter your homemade sauce in the competition until Wednesday, April 6. The competition brings together amateur and professional chefs for a blind tasting from a panel of judges. The competition also includes $400 in prizes. Another perk of entering your gravy in the competition is that you’ll receive two free tickets to the event. Not much of a cook? No problem. You can attend the event from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Neumann-Goretti High School cafeteria to enjoy some food and beverages. Tickets cost $15 in advance and $20 at the door. You can purchase tickets on EPX’s website.
