Submit a project and volunteer for upcoming Philly Spring Cleanup events
UPDATE: The event has been postponed until Saturday, April 16. Find out more here.
While a street cleaning program isn’t happening at the moment, you can still pitch in to make the streets in your neighborhood a bit nicer by cleaning up trash.
Philly Spring Cleanup is bringing together communities throughout the city for a 9th year of this annual cleanup. At this year’s event, there are as many as 30 opportunities in South Philly alone.
This city-hosted event provides all of the necessary supplies for you to start creating a better environment in your neighborhoods. Cleanup locations include specific parks like Dickinson Square, neighborhoods like LoMo and plenty more opportunities. As you can see on the map below, there are organized cleanups in most areas of South Philadelphia.
Is your neighborhood not listed on the map? There’s still time to submit a cleanup project in your area until April 1.
The cleanup events are being held on Saturday, April 9 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. You can find out more about your neighborhood’s cleanup and signup to volunteer here.
