Check out the new CHOP facility at Broad and Morris at upcoming block party
You’ve seen the progress of the CHOP facility being built at Broad and Morris, being transformed from a much smaller Free Library location to a huge facility with quite a few different community uses.
Now here is a chance to check out the facility that opened earlier this month. The South Philadelphia Community Health and Literacy Center is hosting a block party on Saturday, June 11 to introduce the community to this new multi-use space.
This new facility includes the CHOP primary care facility, a health center, the soon-to-open Free Library location and the DiSilvestro Recreation Center.
The event is family-friendly, with live music, rides, games and more throughout the day. The block party will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the facility at 1700 S. Broad St.
Why wasn’t the playground open for the block party? It’s still not open.
