This store is the gold standard for inefficiency. I marvel at the fact that there seems to be a 2:1 employee:customer ratio and still the shelves aren’t stocked. I have had to get bananas out of one of the several shipping boxes that sit next to the empty banana display on several occasions.
I was in there the other day and a group of new hires from the Cashiers/Baggers Union (yes…really) were getting a tour of their new store. I have to imagine that eliminating the self checkout aisles may be a part of justifying this new added cost.
