Bloody deer parts? Point Breeze body shop allegedly scammed insurance companies with them
A body shop near 20th and McKean was in the news again yesterday for an alleged scam to bilk insurance companies with staged “Hollywood photos” of fake deer-collision accidents.
Ron Galati, owner of American Collision & Auto Center at 1930 S. 20th St., was one of 41 people arrested yesterday after a 16-month investigation by a grand jury, the District Attorney’s Office said.
According to the Inquirer:
People wandering through Ron Galati’s South Philadelphia auto-body shop could be forgiven for thinking they’d stumbled upon an urban hunting lodge. … There were deer heads mounted on the walls and carcasses, fur, and blood stored in the back.

It’s the same shop that was at the center of a murder-for-hire investigation last year that involved three slayings. Yikes.
