Streets Department is re-striping Snyder Avenue

It looks like the Streets Department has finally gotten out from under that incredible backlog of filling potholes and is starting to re-stripe Snyder Avenue. Crews have been out spray painting temporary lines to mark out where the improvements are needed.

Most recently, the lines around the area on Snyder Avenue from Columbus Boulevard up to Third Street have been almost entirely replaced, including the bike lanes.

When asked if these improvement were taking place, the Streets Department kept is short and sweet:

These improvements shouldn’t be too surprising. If you remember, we spoke with Councilman Squilla about the roadwork in and around the Swanson Street area. It looks like these plans are expanding to all of Snyder Avenue.

    Question about this…

I have noticed at the end of each block there is now an “X” in the street just before the intersection. Are we supposed to be stopping even further back than we have in the past?
