Fourth and Cross unveils new logo and announces construction site party
Andrew Michaels is busy getting his new farm-to-table restaurant Fourth and Cross up and running.
Although opening isn’t slated until spring 2015, that isn’t stopping Michaels from having some fun. He’s recently unveiled a new logo, passed through zoning and also announced a celebration called Autumn Fest and Construction Site Party at the shop on Nov. 15. Here are the details.
We brought you the news back in August that Michaels plans a 34-seat, open-concept restaurant with a rotating seasonal menu. The designs are promising and the Autumn Fest/Construction Site Party will allow you to get a first-hand look at the ongoing construction, sample some eats and have a beer with Michaels, the man making it all happen.
As for the logo, it’s a crisp new look for the former Bell’s Delly space, which featured a classic, yet rusted sign. The S.S. United States, a Pennsport stalwart near Pier 70, is featured prominently and gives a not-so-subtle nod to the rich history of the neighborhood along the Delaware River.
Looking forward to the “bastard child of Morning Glory and Parc,” as Michaels put it, coming to Pennsport? You might want to check out the get-together on Nov. 15 at 1527 S. 4th St. starting at 6 p.m.
Lots of changes coming to 4th street! Looking forward to another place to eat. Any idea if they will have coffee to go?
Hi Ryan,
As a general rule, we’re concentrating on coffee for our sit down customers. Just signed up with Reanimator Coffee Roasters yesterday. Excellent locally roasted coffee. If you’ll want to take a cup to go when you’re finished with your meal, I’m sure something can be arranged. I also highly recommend our neighbors at Grindcore Coffee, located just up the block on the corner of 4th and Greenwich. Great people, great service. Hope to see you in the Spring !
Andrew
