Italian Market Festival happening May 16 and 17
This year the Italian Market is celebrating 100 years with various events as part of their Cent’anni celebrations.
One of the biggest of those events is the Italian Market Festival happening the weekend of May 16.
9th Street from Fitzwater to Federal will be shut down to traffic for the block party-style celebration.
As you can see on the map above, there are plenty of spots to enjoy live music, dance parties, food vendors, artwork and more. With more than 100 vendors and plenty of sights in this historic South Philly market, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at the festival.
Since this is the Italian Market, you can expect to see plenty of your favorite Italian foods served, in addition to other international cuisine.
The festival runs rain or shine on May 16 and 17 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can find more information on the Italian Market’s website.
The South Philly Parents Resource Center will be helping to run the Di Bruno Bros family fun zone. Lots of family friendly performers, crafting for kids, and a moon bounce…all for free! Stop by and say hi.
