Family Movie Nights are returning to Hawthorne Park Friday nights this summer
Looking for some free Friday night fun this summer for the whole family?
Hawthorne Park at 12th and Catharine is hosting Family Movie Nights again on the last Friday night of the month from May through August.
For the opening night movie on May 29, you better be prepared for sing-alongs with the showing of that super-popular movie, Frozen. Apparently it was quite a hit when shown at a movie night last summer.
In addition to Frozen, there will be showings of Annie (the 2014 version) on June 26, Big Hero 6 on July 31 and Toy Story on August 28.
There will be snacks and activities beginning at 7 p.m., with the movie starting once it’s dark, usually somewhere around 8:30 p.m. Don’t forget to bring your own blankets or chairs.
The movies are free to the public. All kids under age 14 must also be accompanied by an adult.
