Free jazz performances at Hawthorne Park this summer

The family-friendly movie nights aren’t the only free fun to be had at Hawthorne Park, located at 12th and Catharine, this summer.

Jazz artists will also be setting up for free concerts on every third Thursday night this summer.

The Jazz in Hawthorne Park series is continuing again for a third year with performances by local jazz artists. While the series already kicked off on May 21, there are still three more opportunities to catch some free jazz music in the park. The remaining performances include the Odean Pope Quartet on June 18, Barbara Walker Story on July 16 and Bootsie Barnes and his Trio on August 2o.

The performances are free and start at 7 p.m.
