Plenty plans to renovate, add bar later this summer

In February we told you that Plenty applied for a liquor license, but the restaurant’s plans don’t end there.

Now that they will be serving up alcohol, Plenty has decided to do a renovation to make the space more like a bar.

While Plenty will continue with the same breakfast, lunch and coffee options they have now, they will be expanding their menu to include small plates in the evening for full-service dinner to create more of a European cafe-style vibe in the space.

The dinner menu items will be inspired by owners Anthony and Damon Mascieri’s world travels. Their alcohol menu will consist mainly of beer and wine, along with a selection of specialty cocktails.

This isn’t the first time Plenty is renovating. They remodeled to make changes, including a larger coffee bar area, back in 2012.

In addition to the plans at their East Passyunk Avenue location, Plenty’s new location in Queen Village is expected to be bigger than their other two locations and should open later this year. That location and the Rittenhouse Square location have also applied for liquor licenses.

No word yet on when this project will get started, but it should be later this summer. That means you might have to head to Rittenhouse to get your Plenty fix while they’re renovating.
