Kids night bike parade and movie night at Jefferson Square Park
Now that summer is officially here, kids are likely to be hopping on their bikes, cherishing their time off from school and the hot summer weather.
Jefferson Square Park at 4th and Washington is hosting an event to gather the neighborhood kids for a bike parade on Wednesday, July 8.
Not only will kids have a chance to roll around the park on their bikes, scooters, wagons or strollers, but they’ll also have the opportunity to decorate their rides at the park.
To encourage safe riding, there will be a safety lesson from a Philadelphia Police officer at the park at 6:45 before the parade begins at 7 p.m.
After the parade concludes, you’ll then have a chance to catch the free movie night in the park. The movie on July 8 is Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. The movie begins at 8:30 p.m.
Activities for this Kids Night at Jefferson Square Park begin at 6 p.m. You can find out more on the Friends of Jefferson Square Park website.
