Suspect in South Philly tire slashings captured
If you live on Ellsworth Street near 10th Street, your car might have been one of the unfortunate vehicles that had their tires slashed earlier this week.
A suspect, a 29-year-old, yet-to-be-named man, is now in custody for the slashing of tires on at least 9 cars on Monday.
More from Philly.com:
Police armed with a description quickly arrested a 29-year-old man as a suspect in a tire-slashing spree early Monday on a block in South Philadelphia.
Officers received the initial call about 1:15 a.m. that a white male wearing a black T-shirt and khaki-colored shorts with a dark beard was observed slashing car tires on the 1000 block of Ellsworth Street.
A short time later, an officer spotted a man fitting the description not far away at South Broad and Carpenter Streets, police said.
Any news on the tire slashings in Queen Village a week ago? I was one of the lucky ones to wake up to this.
