First Pics: Italian cafe called Caffe Ida now open at 1732 W. Passyunk Ave.
Adding to the list of new businesses like Chaat and Chai, Sit and Spin, Panda Cafe and more popping up in West Passyunk and Newbold, another new cafe has just opened on West Passyunk Avenue.
This new coffee shop called Caffe Ida opened two weeks ago in the former Miss Rachel’s Pantry location at 1732 W. Passyunk Ave.
As you’re walking down West Passyunk Avenue, you’ll first notice the yellow and white striped awning on the shop.
Caffe Ida is an Italian cafe, specializing in espresso drinks. There is also a selection of baked goods that changes daily and sandwiches and salads for lunch.
If you’re planning on stopping by and checking the place out, there’s seating for about 20 to 30 people inside, along with some outdoor seating to hang out at while the weather is still nice.
Caffe Ida is open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
I love this place stopped in to see what they had… full dinner menu. I ate steak…can’t beat the quality or the price!
I’ve been hesitant to go in despite positive comments. The previous italian espresso shops on West Passyunk/Snyder had an overwhelming population of old leering men. Please tell me this has changed.
It would be lovely to have some real espresso down here.
Based on the photos in this post, it doesn’t seem like much has changed 🙂
I walked by there yesterday, thought it was a private Italian social club,I’ll stop by & try it later this week
