Curtis Symphony Orchestra hosting free concert on Saturday
Looking for some free entertainment for the weekend? The Curtis Symphony Orchestra is hosting a free event in South Philly.
The performance will be held at South Philadelphia High School at 2101 S. Broad St. on Saturday, October 17.
The Curtis Institute of Music works to educate and train young musicians to become skilled in their craft. At this event on Saturday, you’ll have the chance to see 100 of the youth trained through Curtis during this hour-long orchestral performance.
Since South Philadelphia High School, where the event will be hosted, doesn’t currently have a music program, Curtis has been working with the school to help restart the program.
This event does not require tickets and is free to the public. The concert is on Saturday, October 17 at 5:30 p.m.
