Shop or volunteer at upcoming CityKids consignment sale
CityKids will be hosting their annual consignment sale, the largest non-profit sale in the area, on Saturday, April 16 and Sunday, April 17.
This free event at Neumann-Goretti High School at 11th and Moore will bring plenty of gently-used items for babies and children. This includes clothing, toys, strollers, books, maternity clothing and plenty more.
Proceeds from the sale go towards the South Philly Parents Resource Center. If you have anything you’re looking to get rid of, you are able to donate or consign your items until two weeks prior to the sale.
In addition to the opportunity to buy some new clothes and toys for your children, you can volunteer with a number of neighborhood schools. Friends of Southwark, among other neighborhood school groups, will be running the concession stand at the sale as a way to increase awareness of what these community groups do for the neighborhood schools. The proceeds form the concession stand will then be split between the participating schools. Interested in volunteering? You can contact maryfrancesfalso@gmail.com.
In addition to concession stand volunteers from neighborhood schools, CityKids is also seeking volunteers to help run the sale. If you participate as an official volunteer for the sale, you’ll have the opportunity to shop the sale in advance of its opening on Saturday.
