Men’s lifestyle brand opening shop on East Passyunk Avenue

If you’ve walked down East Passyunk Avenue this week you might have spotted signage for something new called Heavy Weight. While the name may lead you to believe it’s something along the lines of a gym, this new business is actually a clothing brand based in Philly.

The location at 1912 E. Passyunk Ave. is seeing shift from old tenants like the wedding invitation shop and art gallery, to something new in the form of a men’s lifestyle apparel shop.

The store will stock items from the brand Heavy Weight. If you check out their website, you’ll see a collection of t-shirts, snapbacks and more from the company that will be stocked at the store.

The store is hosting a grand opening celebration on Friday, June 3 from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. with free food and live music while you check out the shop.

Regular hours for the shop will be from Tuesday through Friday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. You can check out Heavy Weight on Facebook and Instagram.
