Newbold Neighbors hosting two community events this weekend
Are you a resident of Newbold? If so, there are two chances this weekend to celebrate your neighborhood with Newbold Neighbors Association.
On Friday night they will be hosting a bowling night, then on Saturday, a community picnic will be happening at Manton Green.
The bowling night will be happening on Friday, June 10 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Newbold Neighors has rented out the entire bowling alley at PEP Bowl, making this the perfect opportunity to have some fun with your neighbors. A limited amount of drinks and snacks will be at the event, but you’re welcome to bring your own, even alcohol for the over 21 crowd. Tickets can be purchased for $7 in advance or for $10 at the door. You can buy tickets here. Proceeds will go towards the 17th Police District’s annual block party happening later this month.
On Saturday, June 11 you’ll have another opportunity to hang out with your Newbold neighbors at a free picnic event at Manton Green, located at 17th and Manton Streets. The event will feature hot dogs, veggie dogs, cheeseburgers, snacks, drinks and more. The picnic will be happening from noon through 4 p.m. You can RSVP to the event on Facebook.
