East Passyunk Avenue hosting annual car show and street festival in late-July
On Sunday, July 31, East Passyunk Avenue’s largest block party event is returning for an 11th year.
The annual event includes a car show, live music, family-friendly fun, food and plenty more.
The car show is the main attraction with more than 140 vehicles being spotlighted at the event. If cars aren’t your thing, there’s still plenty to do and see. There’s live music throughout the day at locations all along the Avenue. The music kicks off at 11 a.m. and goes until the end of the event at 4 p.m. There are 10 musicians set to play at this year’s event.

11:00 a.m. – The Drive-Ins (Parking Lot between Tasker and Morris Streets)
11:00 a.m. – Las Palabras (East Passyunk Avenue & Juniper Street)
12:00 p.m. – Rick Baccare singing Sinatra (Stogie Joe’s)
12:30 p.m. – TBA (East Passyunk Avenue & Morris Street)
12:30 p.m. – The Blue Pharaohs (Noir)
1:00 p.m. – Christophonic DJ set (Singing Fountain)
2:00 p.m. – Shakey & Winky (Palladino’s)
2:00 p.m. – Brown Sugar covering The Rolling Stones (Parking Lot between Tasker and Morris Streets)
3:00 p.m. – Joey Joy Band (Stogie Joe’s)
3:45 p.m. – Low Rise (East Passyunk Avenue and Morris Street)
Some restaurants will be offering specials for the event. Marra’s will have an outdoor bar with pizza, P’unk Burger will have $6 build-your-own burgers, Palladino’s has drink specials and Birra will be offering special limoncello snow cones. You can also enjoy food trucks like the Tot Cart and Weckerly’s Ice Cream.
There will also a kid-specific zone at 13th and Mifflin. The area will include games, face painting and crafting for the kids to enjoy throughout the day. Entertainment will include stilt walkers, high-wire performances and more.
The event is happening from 11 a.m. through 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 31. A rain date is set for Sunday, August 7. You can find out more about the event here.
