October’s Second Saturday will feature a major shopping event on the Avenue

This month’s Second Saturday will give you the perfect opportunity to enjoy fall weather on East Passyunk Avenue.

On Saturday, October 8, there will be sidewalk sales, an antique flea market and more entertainment throughout the day.

Businesses along the Avenue will be featuring special sales and promotions throughout the day, including a sidewalk sale. Check in at stores including the newly-opened South Fellini, Occasionette, Frame Fatale and more.

In addition to all of the shops along the Avenue that you already know and love, you can visit the antique and vintage market in the parking lot on Passyunk between Tasker and Morris. There will be more than 50 vendors set up from 8 a.m. through 4 p.m. If you need a break from shopping, there will be food vendors selling breakfast items and baked goods.

Looking for some non-shopping-related activities throughout the day? The Blue Pharaohs and Barry & Friends will be playing live music at the Singing Fountain from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Later in the day you can visit RACSO Gallery for an exhibit of works by Latin American women, including Melissa Montiel, Marialucia Diaz and Ada Trillo. The reception will run from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
