Analog Watch Co. to appear on ‘Project Runway: Fashion Startup’ show later this month
It’s like “Shark Tank,” but for the fashion industry. “Project Runway: Fashion Startup” puts fashion and beauty entrepreneurs in front of a panel who will either help fund their dreams or tell them to reimagine their company.
A South Philly business owner will be showcasing his products on the show later this month. Lorenzo Buffa, owner of Analog Watch Co., will soon be shown on the Lifetime network show, presenting his watch brand to a panel of judges including designer Rebecca Minkoff, the CEO of Hilldun Corporation, the founder of Gwynnie Bee and the CEO of Birchbox.
In the show’s preview, you can see Buffa telling the panel, “you’re asking me to tear my product apart.” To which the CEO of Gwynnie Bee, Christine Hunsicker, then responds, “Yes, I am.” Yikes.
No matter how the watch company performs on the show, big things are on the horizon for the brand. For one thing, they will soon be moving to a larger location directly on East Passyunk Avenue.
Analog Watch Co.’s episode is expected to air on Thursday, November 17 at 10:30 p.m. on Lifetime network.
