A Man’s Image working to “cure the uglies” from a new location
Earlier this year A Man’s Image vacated its large location at 1709 E. Passyunk Ave. for the sake of a smaller and more manageable storefront.
Over the weekend the business celebrated its grand opening at 1841 E. Passyunk Ave.
The men’s clothing store has been in business for 60 years, 20 of those being in the East Passyunk Avenue storefront. Owner Abe Mandel decided it was time to downsize the business and then pass it along to a few of his salesmen for them to run. While it is no longer as large of an outpost for men’s clothing, you’ll still find a large selection of items to help “cure the uglies.”
A Man’s Image’s former location is in the process of becoming a location of Barcelona Wine Bar. Construction is underway to transform the location to look more modern for the wine bar and tapas restaurant, as these renderings show.
