Free expert advice on fixing & improving your row house
The Association for Preservation Technology Delaware Valley Chapter is offering a free, two-day symposium on the Philadelphia row house this Friday and Saturday. The event promises to help homeowners learn how to maintain and repair their row house, and make them more energy efficient.
Topics will include:
- Repairing and underpinning foundation walls
- Wall stabilization and repair
- How to insulate masonry walls
- Ventilation and HVAC
- Wood window repair and replacement
- Flashing and roofing systems
- Chimney repair best practices
Representatives from the Historic Commission and L&I will also be present to discuss permitting, inspecting, and getting repairs and alterations approved by the City.
