Karina’s will move into former Hoof + Fin space off South Street

Just when we thought they’d be moving further south, Karina’s switched it up and is instead going north.

The jewel-box BYOB that is being replaced at 1520 E. Passyunk Ave. by Brigantessa from the Le Virtu crew will be moving to 617 S. 3rd St. A lovely tipster sent us this picture:

Karina’s had been slated to move less than a block from its current home, across from the fountain into a building under renovation next door to Fond.

We hear that renovation wasn’t moving quickly enough for their timeline, so they started shopping around for other options. At one point a sign popped up in the window saying they were headed for Ritner Street, but that was taken down quickly.

The new location previously housed Hoof + Fin, a BYOB that closed in 2011.

Hopefully, they’ll get settled quickly in the new home. We’ll keep you updated.
