First Pics: Ramayana opens at 1740 S. 11th St.
Ramayana, an Indonesian cuisine eatery, is now open in the former location of Toyotomi Sushi Bar at 11th & Moore.
Check out the inside after the jump!
The owner of the establishment, Erwin Siswanto, has had a grocery store at 7th & Tasker since 2002 and a catering business, also under the name Ramayana, that he started about a year ago. His new establishment as a stand-alone eatery was the next step for his business.
At the location at 11th & Moore, there are various daily specials, usually 3-4 each day. The menu consists of everything from vegetarian options, to a variety of chicken, fish and beef dishes. All of the dishes on the menu are less than $10.
The first day for Ramayana was Oct. 8, but Siswanto is planning to have an official grand opening on Nov. 19.
Ramayana is open 7 days a week from 12 p.m. through 8 p.m. More information can be found on Ramayana’s Facebook page and website.

Looks like the did a nice job fixing up the interior. Food looks good. Can’t wait to try it out!
Love this place for the price point alone. The Urap-Urap is only $6!

Went there last night – clean, good-looking space, nice staff who explained all the dishes and tasty food. Will be going back soon.
