South Street Spring Festival happening on May 2
Looking for something to do this weekend?
The South Street Headhouse District will host the South Street Spring Festival on Saturday, May 2.
This free block party from Front to 8th Streets, spanning eight blocks, will include more than 150 vendors, 40 bands and 30 restaurants on Saturday. The event has something for everyone with arts, food, music, activities for children and more.
The 2015 edition of this festival will mark the third year of this event on South Street and also the third year of the German Maifest at Brauhaus Schmidtz. Yes, that does mean that there will be a maypole on the 700 block of South Street.
New this year to the Spring festival are things like Atomic City Comic’s “Comicon” and Free Comic Book Day, lawn concerts with grass across 2nd street, food trucks at the festival and more.
The event is on Saturday from 11 a.m. through 8 p.m. You can find more information and a full list of entertainment, vendors and more on the South Street Headhouse District’s website.
