Boutique hotel could be coming to the Navy Yard
A boutique hotel could be built in the Navy Yard.
Franklin Square Capital Partners have applied for a $7.5 million grant as part of the Redevelopment Capital Assistance Program to build a 150 room hotel in the Navy Yard.
The list of applicants includes a description of the hotel:
Construction of modern luxury boutique hotel that boasts 150 guest rooms and offering full amenities including restaurant bar, spa, state-of-the-art fitness center, meeting rooms and a banquet facility, located at the Navy Yard, just 4 miles from Central City and 6 miles from Philadelphia International Airport.
The Navy Yard currently has a Marriott Courtyard hotel.
This isn’t the only change that could be coming to the Navy Yard in the future. There’s also potential for residential housing to be built in the area.
