Philly AIDS Thrift celebrating 10 years with block party this weekend
To celebrate 10 years in business, the non-profit Philly AIDS Thrift is having a block party outside of their store at 710 S. 5th St. on Saturday, October 3.
Over the span of a decade in business, Philly AIDS Thrift has donated over a million dollars to area organizations for the fight against HIV/AIDS. That’s a pretty good reason to celebrate.
The event will include various craft vendors and food trucks. For entertainment, DJ Robert Drake will be playing music all day. There will also be an acoustic set from Joe Jack Talcum of the Dead Milkmen around 3 p.m.
This block party is family-friendly with games, a moon bounce, face painting, magicians, balloon artists and more.
The block party is on Saturday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. You can keep up-to-date on the event page on Facebook.
