This proposed development for 617-21 Moore St. includes 9 of these single family homes.

Here’s the description of the development:

Application for erection of nine( 9) single family homes with balcony on third floor; eight (8) of the homes to be served by internal parking lot accessed by a single curb cut on Moore Street, one (1) of the homes to feature a parking garage on Pierce Street. Technical language in variance calls for two “multi-unit” buildings but the homes will actually be single family. Refused because of multiple structures, lack of commercial space, front-facing parking space , and lack of rear yard depth.

Want to know more about this project? Attend the meeting at Neumann-Goretti library, Room 211 on Wednesday, October 14 at 7 p.m.

I know that corridor gets more negative than positive press, but it makes sense. Very under-developed (relative to near-Passyunk and Pennsport) with a vibrant immigrant community. That massive lot is begging to be used.

But what about the parking? I need a place to park my 3 cars that are registered out of state, and this will just bring more people and cars to the neighborhood.

@nimby – I gather you are too poor to own a car. Too bad about your bad life. What – No one listens to your great ideas?

You LOVE to poke at quality of life issues – you are totally clueless about the parking situation or you’re just a uneducated troublemaker or you just don’t live in the area.

Conclusion — Your not the sharpest tool in the shed!

The argument of parking when it comes to development is getting old. If you want to park in front of your house move to the burbs and get a driveway. Also push the city to get rid of the illegal cars and cars with out of state plates I bet there would be twice the parking. Especially in this neighborhood of illegal aliens. Keep the builders building. Turn this city back into a nice place to live

HEY MORON —- UNDERSTAND THIS — PARKING IS AN ISSUE THAT IS NEVER GOING AWAY & THAT EVERY DEVELOPER WHO WANTS TO MAKE MONEY IN OUR NEIGHBORHOODS MUST DEAL WITH “THE PARKING ISSUE”!!

      DUH!
