Visit Parks on Tap beer garden this week at Jefferson Square
This week you’ll have a new pop-up beer garden to check out. The Parks on Tap traveling garden is making its way to Pennsport for five days starting on Wednesday, August 3.
Visit Jefferson Square through Sunday, August 7 for craft beer, light snacks, games, yoga and other activities. Parks on Tap is a project from Parks and Recreation and the Fairmount Park Conservancy to bring these beer gardens to different parks around the city throughout the summer. Later this summer another South Philly park will be taking part in the fun. FDR Park will play host to Parks on Tap from September 1 through September 5.

Throughout the week you’ll have the chance to attend various events at the park, ranging from kids night to a fitness bootcamp. On Thursday, August 4, 50% of proceeds from the beer garden will go back to the Friends of Jefferson Square for park improvements in the future. Hours for Parks on Tap at Jefferson Square are Wednesday and Thursday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.
