It’s official: Fresh Grocer is opening in former Grays Ferry Pathmark location

When Pathmark closed in Grays Ferry, it left a huge vacancy, giving residents very few options for grocery shopping nearby. For months now there has been talk about Fresh Grocer opening a store in that location. That rumor has finally been confirmed.

Fresh Grocer is opening soon at 3021 Grays Ferry Ave. 

We’ve been following the developments of this project from the closing of the store to more recent developments, like the application for a liquor license. We don’t have much new information on the offerings of the grocery store, other than the fact that it could be opening in late-September or October.

In other grocery store news, ShopRite is opening this week in the former Pathmark location in Whitman Plaza.
