First Pics: On Point American bistro transforms former Breezy’s location
Juan and Mallory Lopez are hard at work on the finishing details on their new American bistro called On Point, set to open soon in the former Breezy’s location at 1200 Point Breeze Ave.
While there are still inspections and menu details being finalized, the owners are aiming towards a September 15 opening. The interior of the restaurant is fully decorated, appearing ready for its first customers.
When Breezy’s was still open in this spot, the decor was colorful and casual. On Point decided to transform the location to their taste with a crisp, clean look with some personal touches to make it feel like home. The walls are white, with a bold, blue statement wall at the checkout counter that also serves as a drink bar (the spot is BYO, but you can grab a cup of Joe). Vases with flowers, family photos from the owners, and historic Point Breeze photos are among the decor.
The restaurant will be open for brunch and dinner, five days a week. The menus are not official just yet, but expect options like French toast, Breakfast nachos and omelets for brunch, and fish and chips, burgers and other American dishes for dinner. You can take a look at On Point’s sample menu here.
If all goes as planned, On Point will be open for business on September 15. Hours for the restaurant will be Wednesday through Sunday, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for brunch service, and then from 5 p.m. through 9 p.m. for dinner.
