Former Peirce School has been listed for sale
Three former South Philly educational facilities were part of a large sale of schools in 2014. Since then, Bok has been transformed into a multi-use facility and the other two schools are projects in the works by the Concordia group.
To add to the list of shuttered schools being sold in South Philly, the former Peirce Elementary School at 2400 Christian St. has been listed for sale.
The 33,000 sq. ft. property has been listed by the Flynn Company. The building is currently zoned as RM-1 and is listed on the National Register of Historical Places. The list price for the former school is $3.75 million.
According to Philly.com, the city had kept the shuttered school for years, just in case of an emergency that would require the use of the building.
