OpenTable names 3 South Philly restaurants as ‘Best Restaurants for Foodies in America’
The restaurant reservation website, OpenTable, has compiled a list of 100 of the “Best Restaurants for Foodies in America.”
A total of 5 restaurants from Philadelphia made the list, with 3 of them being South Philly restaurants.
So what exactly defines a “Foodie” restaurant? This is what OpenTable says: “Foodies. Gourmands. Epicureans. These are the people seeking adventure on a plate, and our 2015 list of the 100 Best Restaurants for Foodies honors the restaurants that are serving just that — delicious dishes, from rustic to refined, meant to be shared with both forks and phones.”
East Passyunk Avenue’s Will BYOB and Noord made the list. Will BYOB has been known for its French cuisine at 1911 E. Passyunk Ave. for 3 years now.
Noord has been serving Northern European dishes at 1046 Tasker St. since 2013. Also worth noting is Restaurant Neuf, the new restaurant from Noord, that is expected to open in the Italian Market this month.
Straying away from the list of goodies on East Passyunk Avenue, Bibou, located at 1009 S. 8th St., also made the list. Like Will BYOB, Bibou is also a French BYOB.
The two other Philadelphia restaurants that made the list are Marigold Kitchen in West Philadelphia and Vedge in Washington Square West.
