Jesus Christ Superstar one man show happening in April

Ever wondered what Jesus Christ Superstar would be like as a one man show? Well, now is your chance to find out.

An upcoming event at Gloria Dei Church will bring one man and his guitar to the stage for one weird performance.

Traditionally, you’d expect to see Jesus Christ Superstar, a rock musical, performed as a full-stage production with a larger cast involved. But E.J. Simpson doesn’t seem to like the traditional. The Philadelphian seems to have traveled around the country to perform Jesus Christ Superstar as a one man show.

There are two opportunities to catch this oddity live at Gloria Dei Church at 916 S. Swanson St. The first is on Friday, April 17 at 7:30 for just $10. The second opportunity to see the Jesus Christ Superstar one man show is on Saturday, April 18, where in addition to seeing the performance, you’ll have the option to be served a “last supper” for $25. You can also opt out of the supper and come just to see the show for $10.
